ASTON MARTIN RAPID WILL DISAPPEAR BEFORE IT REACHES THE MARKET
The Aston Martin Rapid will disappear before it appears. The English carmaker is abandoning what was supposed to be its first electric car, which it unveiled in April 2019 at the Shanghai auto show.
The Aston Martin Rapid E was introduced as a prototype in 2015. Two years later, the British confirmed that this concept will get a serial version. In April 2019, everything seemed concrete because the English manufacturer introduced the model in China.
The car was driven by two electric motors that jointly developed 610 horsepower and 950 Nm of torque. The British house moved to its own account autonomy of more than 320 kilometers and had to build 155 units with an undeclared starting price. However, it is not known how many customers have already booked the car, and if the manufacturer will be forced to return the money.
The English press writes that, according to some sources inside the company, the car will no longer enter production, and the version introduced last year will be the basis for the development of the company's next electrified models.
